It looks like this may be taking place after all. If you check the website for the WSC/WPC http://www.wscwpc.ini.hu/ it gives details. For those that haven't booked their flights yet for the WPC, then see if you can get an extra bit of time off work for this fantastic event. Not definitely confirmed at this moment by the looks of it. I'll certainly enter if its on.

The 24 hour is now confirmed and will be taking place from 9am on Monday 14th to 9am on Tuesday 15th November. Cost is likely to be between €150 and €180. My place is booked. Hope that more of you will be able to join me.

Just curious... where did you get that information? I can't find any official confirmation on their website.

I spotted it in the FAQ so emailed Gyorgy to say that I was interested and to ask if it was going ahead. He replied back to me yesterday to say that it is going ahead. Prices haven't been finalised yet as he needs to double check some costs, but should be between what I put before. Just checked the official website and that hasn't been updated yet.

Don't follow the link to the 24 hour puzzle championship. Just scroll down and the dates of the events are listed near the top. The 24 hour puzzle championship is listed as still to be decided. So it looks like an e-mail to Gyorgy is required to obtain the further details that Liane has received.

Blast - I was hoping that if it was around a weekend then I could go, but the same reason that I can't do the WPC applies here as well.

I think it will be again around a weekend next year. But I hope, they will announce it a little bit sooner than in the last years.
