Hello UKPA,

Currently I'm running the traditional Nikoli Hurdles 5 (its been 5 years already?!).
Same format. 8 puzzles to be solved in order, where the answer to one puzzle unlocks the next puzzle.
This year I have introduced a somewhat controversial game at the finish line. Normally I use a luck-based game to determine a prize winner, but not this time! The prize this year is the recently-published Nikoli no Penpa 2018 issue.

The contest will be opened until 20th December.

Then at Christmas I will hold the annual Holiday Quiz.
Same place, same format and probably the same prize.

Nikoli Hurdles 5 was won by Edison He from Hong Kong.

Starting next is the annual SOTR Holiday Quiz.
A series of puzzle-related/observation quiz to be done over the holidays.
Last year the winning score was 58/60.
I predict a lower winning score after ramping up the difficulty.

I was quietly confident in my Scattergories skills for the Hurdles...
Turns out I was completely wrong, and finished down the bottom of the leaderboard!

But the quiz was fun, good for people that enjoy puzzle trivia.
