Fiendish Futoshiki

Post by Janix »

Hi

There was an amazing puzzle in The Times today. No494 (c) Puzzlermedia (I hope that fair use can be applied here).

Normally the puzzle sections get harder as each week goes by, but this one given today's was the most difficult I have ever seen.

[ ] [ ]<[ ]<[ ] [ ]

[ ] [ ] [ ]<[ ] [ ]
.v
[ ]>[ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]
.v
[ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]
.v..v......v
[ ] [ ] [ ]<[ ] [ ]

After the first three numbers (two forced, then one deduced), immediately a multi step process is required, then an even deeper one to crack it wide open.

Awesome puzzle... Enjoy!
