Re: Olympic puzzle

Oh well, I'm not gonna buy a printer just because of this one puzzle now, probably in the future
I do have something like the first 2 though ;)

Re: Any interest in a UK croco-puzzle ladder?

It's nice to be back in the contest and once again against someone -- puzzlemad -- who I haven't fought before! :) Only thing that worries me is that Olympic Games are also on next week of course and as an avid olympics (and sports in general) fan I will probably struggle to find time for it but I g...

Re: Any interest in a UK croco-puzzle ladder?

Well, yea, it was just my personal opinion on it ;) I have solved one of them before (a month ago or so) and it also took ages, so maybe this puzzle is even not for me.

Re: Congratulations!

Never solved a Hanjie, so don't even know how to solve one, therefore I avoid it for now  EDIT after closing of the topic: Oh well, not sure where I should share the joy with fellow puzzlers then. At least I tried... Yes, I understand that this is a puzzle forum etc. but I feel every health...

Congratulations!

Congratulations to London, the whole UK and the rest of the world on the official beginning of the Olympic Games!!! :D Just finished watching the spectacular opening ceremony. NB! Re: Any interest in a UK croco-puzzle ladder?

Just gotta say that today's U-Bahn / Subway is a complete freak! Had to solve it 2 times last night to get it right and still had to use blue lines on 2nd occasion because there were multiple options. Unlike :x

Re: Slalom (aka Gokigen)

Tried to solve today's Slalom using all the instructions & tips given above but still ran into problems and had to guess/try to get it solved plus got it wrong as well, so had to find a way to remove/add lines. Added to that a fehlversuch meant a time like 1hr 31min 21sec. Tbh, I only understand one...

Re: Any interest in a UK croco-puzzle ladder?

Btw, look at the bottom of today's Tapa highscore table, someone has apparently managed to make 100 mistakes solving it!!! :D I have made 7 once but I wasn't quite sure how to solve the puzzle then, and I can't imagine how you make 100, really...unless you make mistakes intentionally but why...

Re: Any interest in a UK croco-puzzle ladder?

Congratz to Dataman on reaching the 11th Kyu!
Btw, played Tekken 5 last night and it also uses the Kyu rank system, for example I managed to reach 6th Kyu with Asuka Kazama :)

Thanks, just made 2 versions of it: one with those 4 custom users highlighted in green and another combo one with UK users highlighted in blue and those 4 highlighted in green ;)
And yes, it was easy indeed but I was too lazy to check it out myself earlier

Re: Any interest in a UK croco-puzzle ladder?

Today made my best time in any puzzle -- 1:07 in Camp! :D Admittedly it was easy, probably the easiest puzzle I've solved on CrocoPuzzle so far, though. Still would expect to be in top 100 (maybe) or 200 with a time like that but apparently I might even end up in 3rd hundred -- the level is darn hig...

Re: Croco-Liga team competition, starting in September 2012

[---] And where do the RatselPunkte numbers come from? [---] All individual results are considered in Rätselpunkte, every win gives 2 pts and every draw 1 pt, so 1 team can collect max 24 pts from 1 round. For example we scored 22 against Team Japan (10 wins and 2 draws). Also S = win, U = draw, N ...

Re: Croco-Liga team competition, starting in September 2012

OK, gotta say this mini-chat is slightly annoying (if typing long text)! :x Firstly, you don't know where's the cut-off point, so you type a long text and then only small part of it will be posted and you need to copy the whole text and then shorten it etc. to not lose the text you already typed. Se...

Re: Croco-Liga team competition, starting in September 2012

Hey, go to Liga > Spieltag ( http://www.croco-puzzle.com/Liga/spieltag.php ) and then click Details next to your Meeting. Also go to Active ( http://www.croco-puzzle.com/Liga/aktiv.php ) to see the standings of current round etc. But at the moment 2nd round matches have ended and 3rd round mapping p...

Re: Croco-Liga team competition, starting in September 2012

Thanks for that afcwarren ! ;) Also just an idea not sure if it's necessary...but maybe we should have a private way (i.e. not public forum topic) for discussing who solves what and maybe give tips to each other on how to solve, tactics etc. Maybe not essential now during the test phase but in autum...

Re: Croco-Liga team competition, starting in September 2012

Hey, I just checked the league and noticed I've been assigned Camp and Stations. I quite like Camp and I have my 5th highest rating in it but if possible I would like to avoid Stations as I've done really poorly in it so far (rating of 2 after 3 solved). Of those that are used in the league I would ...

Re: Any interest in a UK croco-puzzle ladder?

OK, so the chances to get the regular sudoku are low but it's still more likely to get 1 in 3 weeks than not... Also, GiantPanda has solved 138 sudokus considering all 3 variations, which means over 11% rate or 1/9. So the chances to get 1 of all sudokus should be considerably higher. This list has ...

Re: Any interest in a UK croco-puzzle ladder?

I've been relegated for 2nd time but at least I won't be out for more than 2 weeks... This week was quite difficult with some ridiculously tough puzzles and sadly with no sudokus whatsoever. What are the chances that you don't get any in more than 3 weeks (last one on 20 June) ??? Don't seem very li...

Re: Any interest in a UK croco-puzzle ladder?

Well, this Scyscrapers was darn tough last night and took hours to solve and I had to use number of 50/50 situations to get there...but at least I stayed in the contest for the final day! EDIT: Unfortunately got a Doppelstern / Double Star on the last day of the week and as I had never solved one be...

Re: Any interest in a UK croco-puzzle ladder?

What can I say... Gotta admit that Dataman was better this time but for me it was actually the best week so far. Why so? Well, in my first week I was beaten by PuzzleScot 1-9 and in my 2nd week I beat afcwarren easily without any resistance. So, this 2-8 is actually my best score so far. About the u...
