Re: WPF Puzzle GP 2020

I haven't seen the puzzles but would guess on the formatting that they have been created by different people, possibly with different methods of drawing the grids up.

Hi

In the kropki kakuro in Puzzles Round 4, it doesn’t state that all such kropki circles are present, but that rule does apply in the example. Are all such circles present?
Yes all such circles are given.

And Kota was on a different planet - 38:32 is unreal.
You can certainly say that again. Well done Kota - it probably took me that long to answer a single puzzle!

Very well done to everyone who completed all the puzzles in the allotted time.

Re: UKPA Hybrid Sudoku Contest

I just created an account and downloaded the instruction booklet. I solved 3 out of the 4 example puzzles, I couldn't even break into the Killer and Clone, and each puzzle took me at least 30 minutes. I just want to check, it's not worth me even trying the actual contest is it? :( Sometimes competi...

Re: 20th 24HPC in Budapest

(I haven't checked flight prices because Tom's scared me too much). But I'm definitely planning to do something puzzle-y on the Friday if people are around. :-) I had a look at prices on Tuesday, but wanted to confirm about flight return time. Just looked today and prices on all airlines have incre...

E.g. is the schedule roughly the same as in previous years - e.g. Sudoku competition is entirely on the Saturday, and the Puzzle competition is split between the last bit of Saturday and then Sunday? This is already stated above - but yes Sudoku entirely on Saturday and Puzzle split as you state. A...

Hi Bram, you're welcome - it looks like a couple of you did that but there were a range of errors on that puzzle including not 'seeing' the 'regular' rectangles properly for some reason. I'm glad you enjoyed the puzzles - thanks again to the authors of them all.
