Re: need input on a new electronic mind game

I tried reading the description and got totally confused. Is this meant to be an opening puzzle (e.g. you need to find the conditions to open it - similar to the ISIS puzzle) or is this more of a container where you can store things (e.g. similar to a puzzle box). As for the phrase: "You should...

Re: mAZuko free iOS app

I have now downloaded it and completed the first few puzzles, but frankly am disappointed.

This is merely another name for 'Hidoku' puzzles and the interface itself is pretty terrible - if they had allowed one to swipe/drag out the intended paths this would have been much more enjoyable.

Re: World's hardest Sudoku and it’s a 2 x 2: Can you crack i

If you have a new puzzle concept then explain the rules and we can judge it fairly to give you an indication as to whether your claim is anywhere near true. Telling us you have a concept without describing it, or even showing an example merely irritates as PuzzleScot has correctly stated. Based on t...

Re: sudo10.com

As a variant I haven't seen before it has potential. I am more of a puzzle fan than a sudoku fan, but this was still quite enjoyable once my head had figured out what was going on. Having more than one puzzle would have been good, and the screen merely saying 'Done!' was a little disappointing, but ...

Re: Introduction from FranticPuzzles

Thank you for this FranticPuzzles. On the whole this seems good, however I would ask for one feature to be amended, namely the 'locking' of adjacent pieces. At present they will lock if they are in the correct final orientation however will NOT lock if they are rotated. It would be nice to be able t...

Wow, nicely done Chris - that was one massive push! No reason why 8k shouldn't be too far away now..

Incidentally, I hadn't actually noticed that League puzzles affected one's normal rating :? We'll have to stop giving bad puzzles to Liane before she notices

Re: World Puzzle Days 2013

Thank you for this Günther.

I currently don't have the space to work on the 5000 piece puzzle I was doing before moving house, so this seems like a good idea for keeping me (even more) occupied until I can remedy the situation!

Well done James - if you continue at this rate, it's a sure podium next time!

I didn't enjoy this set as much as the last one, but I don't think it is a reflection on the puzzles - it might have something to do with breaking nearly every one first time through

It looks like the results are up: here with 11 UK entrants - well done Tom on leading us out! I have to say I don't generally like sudoku, but did enjoy this set - nothing there that looked instantly scary/complicated (they often do), although some welcome new types I hadn't seen before. I put the f...

Bah - my internet connection died as I did my final submission within the last 5 seconds. It looks like it didn't register which is a shame as it was a 50 pointer, but I'm really pleased with the score nonetheless (miles off James mind.. I wonder what he's eating..) A very nice puzzle set - just the...

Thanks for all the info regarding the claim process. I didn't this time, on the basis that it was my fault for not being careful enough - it's too late now, but I'll know for the future. Palmer's comment on LMI also confirms it can't hurt to claim if you have a reasonable case. Nonetheless, I enjoye...
